Tanguay & Zolak Recap - Monday 10/5

On Monday's edition of Tanguay and Zolak we broke down the Patriots big win over the Ravens. Zo talked about Pats D that was flying around making plays all day. Gary had to eat crow after talking up the Ravens all week.

From the reaction of the fans and media it seems that this game was a coming out party of sorts for Safety Brandon Merriweather. The listeners were still ripping RB Laurence Maroney for his "dancing" behind the line of scrimmage.

Gary couldn't get over the fact that our Fantasy Guru Nick Cattles went 7 for 8 in his on air starts and sits Friday. He even told you to start the Jacksonville combo of David Garrard and Mike Sims-Walker, who  both had career days Sunday. Tanguay also couldn't believe he went 0-4 in his week 4 picks...here are the results:

             Week           Season

Zolak       2-2              7-5

Tanguay   0-4              4-8

Louth        3-1             5-7

Cattles     4-0              9-3

Coming up Tuesday from 10am-2pm: We break down the Red Sox postseason roster...Is the bench good enough?  We talk with former Angels Utility man and current Color Analyst Rex Hudler at 12noon.

Tanguay & Zolak Recap 9/25

It was a Football Friday on Tanguay and Zolak. The boys broke down the Patriots / Falcons game like only they can. Zo thinks this is a statement game for New England. One that will change people's outlook on where this team slots among the league's elite. Tanguay is worried that a loss could spell disaster and is concerned with Baltimore coming in next week.

The guys were breaking down the QB battle between Tom Brady and Matt Ryan, when Zolak set off a firestorm by saying that Ryan is not a Top 10 NFL QB. BC fans came out in full force to defend the former Eagle.

We were joined by John Kincade of 680 The Fan in Atlanta, who gave us a preview of what to expect on Sunday. Kincade said Matt Ryan has changed the perception of the Falcons in the wake of Michael Vick's fiasco, but said there is still a pretty good base of Vick fans in the ATL.

Nick Cattles told you who to sit and start in our Fantasy Foreplay and the boys made their NFL Picks to finish the show...and us Producers will battle them online all year long:

Tanguay & Zolak Recap - 9/22

The majority of the listeners talked Monday about how bad the offense looked. Tuesday, Tanguay & Zolak attacked the topic of how to fix the problems. Zolak mentioned the Dolphins and how they controlled the ball with the Wildcat offense Monday Night. Zo remembers Miami offensive coordinator Dan Henning when he was still in the league and how creative he is with the gameplan. That's something that seems to be lacking with this Patriots team. Tanguay is worried that if the Pats don't get back on track, they're in danger of going 1-3 to start the year with games ahead versus the Falcons and Ravens.

Tim Wakefield made an eventful start last night in Kansas City, which begs the question, why was he out there in the first place? Tanguay and Zolak debated the Sox philosophy behind putting Wakefield on the hill. Zo thinks this could be the last time you see Wake put on a Boston uniform. Tanguay was ticked that the bullpen blew the lead and doesn't want to see Manny Delcarmen anywhere near the mound in a key situation during the playoffs.

Coming up Wednesday...We're live at the CBS Scene in Foxboro with Bill Belichick's Press Conference @ 10:50am & Tom Brady's Press Conference @ 11:10am!
