The Phillies took game 1 of the World Series last night at a soggy Yankee Stadium. Gary and Zo are both fed up with the fact that the Fall Classic starts so late now. They should not be playing baseball in November! Pedro Martinez starts game 2 for the Phillies tonight which made Zolak think of how he left Boston and the venom thrown his way after he left. Are you rooting for Pedro tonight? Zo says yes...Tanguay says no.
We listened in to Bill Belichick's bye week press conference from Foxboro. Belichick hinted that he had studied the Dolphins thoroughly and pointed out that they're a different team than they were earlier in the year. Click here to listen to the press conference .
Dan Shaughnessy was our in studio guest from 12-2pm. We began with Dan by welcoming in Jon Heyman, Sports Hub Baseball Insider from Sports Illustrated. Heyman told us how much the Red Sox have offered Jason Bay and gave us an Insider's view of the World Series. You can hear the interview by clicking here .
Former NBA Referee Tim Donaghy has written a book that won't be released and we read some of the excerpts that the NBA doesn't want you to read. Tanguay, Zolak and Shaughnessy gave some great stories from their experiences with referees on the field and in the lockerroom.
Coming Up Friday we take a look at the Patriots at the halfway point and break down some of the matchups that will affect the Pats this weekend. We'll also take a look at Brett Favre's return to Green Bay and look back at Pedro's game 2 start at Yankee Stadium.

Today on the show the boys had a bunch of stuff to get to. First up, they broke down the Celtics season opener against the Cleveland Cavaliers and how important the bench was. Marquis Daniels seemed to impress and fans were confident the C's will do well this season.
Also on the show, we had Marc Spears on to talk about the latest on Rajon Rondo and Glen "Big Baby" Davis. Spears spoke with Baby on Tuesday and told us that the forward was adamant that he wasn't drunk during the incident that caused him to break his thumb. On Rondo, Spears had some interesting news that had developed in the past 24 hours. What was that news? You'll want to hear the Podcast!
Another reason to listen to the Spears interview? Comcast Sportsnet's Donny Marshall was listening to the show and called in, talking with Gary and Marc for a three-man breakdown of Rondo, "Baby" and the C's.
The Boston Celtics, however, wasn't the only topic the boys tackled. We had Bruins Defenseman Derek Morris on to talk about the team's recent turnaround. Morris blamed it on a slow start and thought that starting at home might have been detrimental rather than an advantage for the team.
Finally, the topic that really got things boiling was, is the Yankees/Red Sox rivalry alive again? Why do you hate or not hate the Yankees as Red Sox fans? Also, Yankees fans called in and shared their opinion.
Join us tomorrow when Dan Shaughnessy is in studio at noon and Jon Heyman from Sports Illustrated calls in. We'll also have Bill Belichick's press conference from Foxboro, talk Word Series Game 1 and the Celtics home opener. That all comes up on Thursday with Tanguay and Zolak on 98-5 The Sports Hub, 10am-2pm.

The boys were Live at the CBS Scene at Patriots Place in Foxboro today. Tanguay and Zolak began the show shuffling through a crazy 20 hours in sports since they left the air. Braylon Edwards was dealt from the Browns to the Jets for WR Chansi Stuckey and a couple of picks. Gary and Scott both think it was a good deal for Eric Mangini and the Browns. We also hit on the wild AL Central Tiebreaker Game between the Tigers and Twins and discuss the Yankees choosing Jose Molina over Jorge Posada to catch AJ Burnett.
